- Acquire the essential knowledge about the main erythrocyte blood group systems and learn the basic techniques in immuno-hematology in accordance with regulations.
- Be able to interpret the results of these techniques and solve simple immuno-hematological problems.

- Concept of erythrocyte blood group systems.
- International Nomenclature.
- Basic immunogenetics of blood group systems: ABO, H, RH, KEL, FY (Duffy), JK (Kidd), MNS.
- Good laboratory practices in immuno-hematology
- The Antigen-Antibody reaction
- Hemolytic disease of the newborn
- Practical work or laboratory exercises
- Difficulties in ABO-RH-KEL1 blood typing
- Applications of direct and indirect antiglobulin tests
- RAI (Detection of a single antibody)
- Elution
