Description
When inhaled, dust can cause more or less serious health risks for exposed workers. The prevention solutions to be implemented must take into account the nature of this dust.
This module deals with the risks linked to dust and the general prevention associated with it. We will see the basic principles, common to all risks before discussing the different typologies of dust covered in the “wood dust” and “crystalline silica dust” modules.
Targets
All employees working in environments likely to emit solid particles (metallic, mineral, organic dust) constituting aerosols in a professional environment (construction, mineral extraction, steelworks, foundry, wood and textile trades, bakery, etc.).
Teaching methods
This module is structured by a deductive educational approach, moving from theory to practice. Theoretical content screens are based on an affirmative (top-down) methodology followed by a summative assessment in the form of QUIZ.
