This module addresses the risks associated with vibrations emitted by certain portable or manual machines, which may cause disabling disorders to the hands and arms. In France, around 2 million workers, mainly in the construction, mechanical engineering, metallurgy, automobile repair and green space maintenance sectors, are affected by these conditions. However, exposure to these vibrations is not inevitable. Many preventive measures can effectively reduce these risks.
